Midlevel People and Culture Manager (m/f/d)

General Description
Joining our successful journey in disrupting the luggage and tech market you will work as a People and Culture Manager in an international start-up with a super curious and innovative team consisting of 20 different nationalities

Your Role

  • Handling of HR processes and procedures that arise along the employee lifecycle
  •  Be responsible for the overall HR operations: payroll Germany & UK, employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, staff attendance/absences, staff appraisals, maternity, paternity, prepare documents such as contracts, amendments, and letters of reference 
  •  Handling the international recruiting: preparation of job descriptions, onboarding external partner, active sourcing, assist in the overall candidate’s management, run the interview organization, and take part in interviews 
  • Co-drive the development and execution of HR-related projects and actions in employer branding, leadership coaching, learning and development, internal culture  topics and workshops
  • Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our HR & recruiting processes and procedures to constantly improve workflow and reduce costs
  • Take the ownership for the employees’ experience, and represent Horizn’s values within this key department with immediate impact on the success of our company: highly professional, positive, and driven by true empathy
  • Coordinate and partner with various internal teams to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Directly report to Lead of HR

Your Skills & Experience

  • You have at minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position, previous experience in startups/e-/v-commerce is a plus
  • You gained knowledge in HR relations, recruiting, and German labor law
  • Experience with Personio and/or Leapsome is a plus
  • You have very good organized 
  • You are a truly trustworthy person, and have highly developed social skills
  • You have a positive, hands-on personality
  • You have good experience in working in cross-cultural teams
  • You are eager to learn, and to take responsibility
  • You are a team player, results-oriented and like to take the initiative
  • Fluent both in German, and English
