(Junior) HR Operations & Recruiting Manager (m/f/d)

General Description
You will join our successful journey in disrupting the luggage and tech market. You will work as HR Generalist in an international start-up, and will work hands-on in the HR department.

Your Role

  • Ownership of HR processes and procedures that arise along the employee lifecycle
  • Be responsible for the overall HR operations: payroll Germany & UK, employee relations, on boarding, off boarding, staff attendance/absences, staff appraisals, maternity, paternity, prepare documents such as contracts, amendments, and letters of reference 
  • Co-drive the international recruiting for our headquarter in Berlin, our Brand Stores in Berlin and London and Shop in Shops across Europe: preparation of job descriptions, onboarding external partner, active sourcing, assist in the overall candidate’s management, run the interview organisation, and take part in interviews 
  • Support the execution of HR related projects and actions to further drive the HR professionalisation (e.g. in the field of L&D, employer branding, leadership coaching)
  • Co-drive the organisation/facilitation of special activities/formats such as company-wide quarterly strategy sessions and culture sessions, workshops, and HR related Q&A sessions
  • Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of our HR & recruiting processes, policies, and procedures to constantly improve workflow, and reduce costs
  • Take the ownership for the employees’ experience, and represent Horizn’s values within this key department with immediate impact on the success of our company: highly professional, positive, and driven by true empathy
  • Coordinate and partner with various internal teams to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Directly report to Head of HR 

Your Skills & Experience

  • You have at minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, previous experience in startups/e-/v-commerce is a plus
  • You gained knowledge in HR relations, recruiting, and German labor law
  • Experience with Personio and/or Leapsome is a plus
  • You have project management skills
  • You are a truly trustworthy person, and have highly developed social skills
  • You have a positive, hands-on personality
  • You have good experience in working in cross-cultural teams
  • You are eager to learn, and to take responsibility
  • You are a team player, results-oriented and like to take the initiative
  • Fluent both in German, and English
